What is Picsviewr?

Picsviewr is a FREE online service that allows you to view your photos in a cool and fast interface. It provides numerous templates to showcase your photos.

Do I need to create an account?

You don't need to create an account on Picsviewr to use it. The only thing you need to knwo is the username of the Flickr user you want to view the photos.

How can I directly access flickr users photos?

You just have to go to: http://www.picsviewr.com/photos/username.
The photos of this user will be automatically loaded. If you have previously visited his photos, it will load the template you chose last visit. Else the default template will be loaded. The common way to change a template is by using the "change this template" link at the top of each template.

You can directly access a user photo with a particular template by entering the following URL: http://www.picsviewr.com/photos/username/template/quality/overlay. It's pretty useful if you want to show your photos to other people by sending them a link with the direct URL including the template you prefer.

• template is one of tiltviewer, polaroid, dfgallery, flashapi, slide, grey, dark, pictobrowser.
• (optional) quality can be replaced by sd or hd. It represents the quality of the photos. Note that some of the templates don't support hd.
• (optional) overlay is one of lightview, triptracker, lytebox, clearbox. Note that only some of the templates do support this option.

Do I need to choose the template for a particular user everytime I visit Picsviewr?

Of course not! The template you chose for a particular user is stored so that if you come back later, it is loaded automatically as default template for this user.

Note: if you directly access photos from a flickr user with the following URL http://www.picsviewr.com/photos/username/template, the corresponding template won't be set as default for this user.

What about privacy?

Don't worry Picsviewr only displays public images.

I want a custom design for my photos...

Unfortunately we don't offer the ability to create your custom design even remunerated BUT if you feel ready to code your own and want us to integrate it to Picsviewr, send us an email we will try to find a compromise.

• Note that your custom template must integrate all the options you want (dropdown lists for tags, sets, ...) and we will embbed it into Picsviewr (we will write the JS and the backend code).
• Also note that your template will be public. It means that everybody will be able to choose your design. We have no plan yet for unique templates but it could be a future option (including a fee), send us an email.

Are there planning features?

Yes there are! We will add templates in the near future and other useful things. Once again stay around :-). If you have any feature requests, please leave us an email, we will be pleased to hear your suggestions.

Why can I only view Flickr photos?

Picsviewr currently only supports Flickr but other photo collection services may be added in future.

Hey, I change the template and it seems to be broken ?

Some of the templates use Flash and others use Javascript. Please check if those technologies are enabled in your browser and report us the problem. Thanks.

I just make changes to my Flickr account (upload photos, add sets, tags, ....) but I can't see them on Picsviewr, why?

Picsviewr uses some caching features to let Flickr breath. Try again again in a few hours it will be good. If you are experiencing problems, send us an email.
